Daily Catamaran Trips (Fethiye)

Euro650 per person

Fethiye is a popular destination for catamaran trips due to its crystal-clear waters and stunning coastline. Here are some highlights of a typical catamaran trip in Fethiye:

The coast around Fethiye is full of coves, bays and beaches many of which are only accessible by boat. Although daily boat trips offer tourists the chance to glimpse the well-trodden highlights, only by chartering a yacht or by indulging in a few days sailing, can you really appreciate the unspoilt gems on offer – the sunken ruins, remote restaurants and star-lit night skies. A sailing holiday is one of life’s pleasures. Chartering your own yacht means you can avoid the crowds, set the pace and explore the Turkish Riviera on your own terms – finding places only a privileged few will ever get to see.

A catamaran trip in Fethiye is a fantastic way to explore the stunning coastline and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean

1
Getting on Board
Meet your captain at the marina - get on board and set sail for a lazy day exploring Fethiye's local bays and the islands around the Skopea Limani (Fethiye/Gocek Gulf).
2
Gobun Bay
Enjoy a morning swim in the clear waters of Gobun Bay near Gocek. A narrow entrance reveals an impressive long bay backed by pine forest and olive groves. A highlight are the rock tombs and Roman ruins cut into the hillside towards the rear of the bay that can be accessed via a rocky path if you're feeling energetic.
3
Hamam Bay (Cleopatra Bay)
Soak in the warm healing waters of Hamam Bay, better known locally as "Cleopatra Bay". Legend suggests that friends of Queen Cleopatra built a Roman bath over the natural hot spring found to one side of the bay. They presented the bath to Cleopatra as a gift on a visit she made along the coast. Today, the ruins of the bath remain semi-submerged in the clear waters making for excellent snorkeling.
4
Bedri Rahmi Bay
One of the most popular bays in the Skopea Limani is Bedri Rhami, a beautiful protected bay named after the famous artist and writer, Bedri Rhami Eyuboglu. Locals believe Bedri Rhami was one of the first to take a Blue Voyage along the Lycian Coast and during his visit to the bay he painted a fish on a rock so the bay was named after him.
5
Yassicalar Island
Yassicalar Island, otherwise known as “Flat Island” is one of the most Instagram worthy locations along the Turkish coast. A group of picturesque islands joined by sandbanks with shallow channels in-between. This is an excellent spot for swimming and snorkelling and a popular stop-off for yachts and daily boat trips.
6
Back to the Marina
Having enjoyed a full day sailing you return to Ece Saray Marina where your transport back to your accommodation is arranged.

The Mediterranean harbour towns of Gocek and Fethiye are highlights of the Turkish coast and regular haunts for sailors. Fethiye is an alluring mix of the old and new. It’s a harbour town with a traditional feel where fishermen present their catch at the harbourside each morning, old men in beanie-caps drink cay and play backgammon, and local ladies visit the open markets to haggle over fresh produce for their family tables. The narrow streets of Old Town “Paspatur” offer a cool shaded beer and some excellent designer shopping, and the modern streets and harbour front promenade are home to some fine international eateries, coffee shops and brand name stores. The floodlit Lycian Rock Tombs sat high on the cliff side on approach, the crumbling ruins of a Roman fort and the central amphitheatre are all signs of the towns past – no high-rise hotels to be seen, Fethiye is simply a traditional town with phenomenal history and a modern twist, a town that draws travellers back again and again. Gocek is sophisticated town in the Fethiye district and one well known on the sailing circuit. A playground for celebrities on their mega yachts, it’s a sheltered bay jewelled with islands with an impressive array of first class yachting facilities and marinas. Walk the harbour side to find a selection of international restaurants, designer boutiques, bars and bistros. Enjoy the luxury on offer at a first class hotel or spa. Admire the multi-million-dollar motor yachts as you stock up on provisions at the local store. Gocek is a charming town blessed with captivating waters. It’s a town all sailors in Turkey should visit – a place to be seen, to indulge, to socialise and enjoy.
